Treating Oral Thrush with Yeastrol

Oral thrush is an unsightly fungus that occurs in your mouth. Like all yeast infections, it comes from an excess of the Candida organism that appears naturally in your body. When the balance of bacteria in your system goes awry, a yeast infection is likely to occur. Thrush causes white lesions on your tongue, inner cheeks, gums, tonsils and on the roof or back of your mouth. These lesions can bleed and become sore. Ulcers to the lining of the mouth may occur.

While oral thrush is something that most people associate with babies and small children, it can happen to virtually anyone. Adults with compromised immune systems, who wear dentures or who use inhalers are particularly susceptible. Diseases such as HIV/AIDs, diabetes and cancer can create the right environment for oral thrush. Thrush can also occur with virtually no symptoms initially, only showing outward signs well after it has established itself in the mouth.

Yeastrol is a homeopathic treatment for yeast infections in general and oral thrush in particular. (To learn more about Yeastrol for yeast infections in men and women, click here.) Homeopathic medicine is built on the premise that some natural ingredients can cause the body to heal itself. It has been practiced as a medical discipline for well over 200 years and has grown in popularity in the last decade or two.

In the case of Yeastrol, there are twelve ingredients selected by formulators who are experts in homeopathy. For example, wild indigo treats aches and pains associated with yeast infections. Echinacea Augustifolia (Purple Coneflower) eases symptoms of thrush including the accumulation of mucous in the throat. Cinnabar and Nitricum Acidum help heal ulcers in the throat and mouth. Conventional treatments or oral thrush vary from eating unflavored yogurt (to restore the balance of bacteria in the body) to antifungal medicines. Unfortunately, unflavored yogurt is often slow working at best and ineffective at worst. Antifungals can wreak havoc with the liver and should only be used in extreme circumstances and when monitoring of the liver function is possible.

While Yeastrol is not a cure for oral thrush, it is an effective treatment of the symptoms. Simply spraying Yeastrol twice under your tongue three times a day will eliminate symptoms with no side effects at all. Naturally, treatment of the underlying cause of oral thrush should be undertaken through a doctor or other medical practitioner.

Yeastrol is available here and comes with a money back guarantee. There is no animal testing done and the 100% natural formula is safe for high risk patients such as the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. There are no drug interactions and Yeastrol can be used with prescription medicines, dietary supplements and herbs. Yeastrol does not cause drowsiness or sleepiness.

Yeastrol is an effective anti-yeast treatment for oral thrush as well as other forms of yeast infections. For a complete discussion of Yeastrol, or to order some, click here.

Oral Thrush Treatment

Oral thrush is unpleasant whether you’re an infant or an adult and treating it should be a priority. Infants, children and adults can all develop oral thrush and treating it is important to stop the spread of infection. Oral thrush can be passed from infant to nursing mother so the treatment in this case must include caring for both the baby and the mother.

Part of the treatment process with oral thrush is getting an accurate diagnosis which may involve testing. A doctor can usually make the diagnosis simply by observing the mouth for lesions. Otherwise a small sample of a lesion may be examined under a microscope to be sure of the diagnosis. If the infection is located in the esophagus a throat culture and endoscopic examination may be ordered so the diagnosis can be confirmed.

Treating Oral Thrush

    • Oral thrush treatment for an infant includes washing all nipples and pacifiers in a solution of equal parts water and vinegar daily and letting these items dry completely by air dry only.

    • Oral thrush in otherwise healthy adults or children can be treated by eating unsweetened yogurt or by taking acidophilus capsules/liquid.

    • If an individual has a weakened immune system such as individuals with AIDS Candida albicans is the treatment of choice.

    • If oral thrush treatment involves an antifungal medication liver function may need to be closely monitored by testing the blood especially if prolonged treatment is necessary.

Oral thrush treatment also includes hygiene changes or home remedies. Good oral hygiene is important when it comes to preventing the spread of an infection or avoiding a future outbreak of oral thrush. It is important to replace all toothbrushes frequently until the infection is completely gone. Mouthwashes and sprays should be avoided while the person has oral thrush as they can make the problem worse. Warm saltwater rinses may bring some relief but they must not be swallowed.

If a nursing mom gets oral thrush from her nursing baby she should rinse breast pump equipment in equal parts water and vinegar. Nursing pads will help prevent the infection from spreading to her clothes. Nursing pads without the plastic barrier should be used to prevent growth of candida (the bacteria that causes oral thrush). Nursing pads and non-disposable nursing pads should be washed in hot water with bleach.

Any good oral thrush treatment will also include prevention measures such as visiting a dentist on a regular basis, eating a healthy diet that limits sugar intake and yeast-containing foods and if pregnant be sure to treat any vaginal yeast infection promptly so it doesn’t spread throughout the body. It has also been shown taking acidophilus capsules when taking antibiotics can also help reduce the development of oral thrush.
